I haven't handled one yet, but it seems like the factory scales seem fairly robust and round at first glance, so are the TKC scales worth It?

I've become a huge fan of the aesthetic of the canvas micarta scales so almost prefer them based on that merit (though the linen micarta aren't my thing aesthetically), so as long as they aren't crazy thin and flat (esee 3 comes to mind) I usually will go for them.

Thoughts? Critiques on my character? All comments, questions and inflammatory remarks welcome.

    Inflammatory remark.

Ive not used the tkc scales so i cannot comment on them.

In all honesty for me, the stock scales are perfectly fine for a chopper/splitter. If its a one blade only scenario I would run some files over them here and there for long term comfort or consider an aftermarket. Just my two bits.

    Swell, thanks for the input.
I don't imagine I'll be using it as much as other blades, but as a stupid Esee knife collector, all things must be perfect and somewhat obsessed over.

The TKC scales do make a difference I personally like them on the Junglas and Laser Strike are out standing in my opinion.

Dang, I was hoping to not feel the need to get the TKC scales for these 2 models. Ha. I bet they are great, though.

I have the LS and it has been comfortable this far

use the stock scales for a year, get em wet and muddy and gritty and bloody and dirty, full of clay , full of sweat and oils and blood and dust......you won't want to part with them...they hold your labor and blood and sweat an tears....

Yes love their scales on the Laser Strike. Changes the whole feel for the better I think.
