@Black5 try the Recon Harness with a hydration cover and bladder.....it might work for you. Worst thing it does not work for you, you bleach the hydration unit and sell the rig. win win all round.

    Ha!
    Prairie belt and harness.
You can even secure the kit bag to the belt, and use it as a butt pack.

All the water you could want!
16oz bottles and 1 quart canteen.

I'd think you'll either have to get a water bladder with a recon harness, or figure out an additional load carrying solution. Or get a lifestraw / Sawyer water system and drink out of random holes in the ground.

Nice! They really make very modular products. Constantly amazed at what i can do with a tab or a grimloc.

I have a recon harness that I’m not so fond of. I feel like I have to adjust it all the time. I use a Source Tactical hydration pack. Not a backpack but a bladder with cover and shoulder straps.
I don’t like water on my belt line.

Experimented and found out the M2016 bottom g clips can be attached to the shoulder straps and be used as a load lifter. It really cinches it all down and makes it not move. Go HPG.

How do you like the butt pack? Will it hold quite a bit?

Yeah, it holds a good amount of stuff. Super versatile, too. You can set it up lots of different ways - as a butt pack, a sling bag, the lid on a larger pack, etc.

Dang, and I just bought the Recon kit bag to hold the HPG Bino Pouch that is gonna force me to buy an 8x42 bino because my 10x30 and 10x50 binos are a little under or a little over. Maybe they've got a compact bino pouch in the works?

I'm gonna have to get this one. Dont know how I managed to go so long without realizing that I needed one of these...

    Thanks for the heads-up!

It's great. I really like having a stocked admin pouch that I can just rip off the panel on the Kit Bag and throw it on the Tara insert, Buttpack internal panel, etc. Super handy.

Yeah, I was on the waiting list. It sounds like they got a very limited initial shipment and they went fast, but are expecting more soon.
