Why is it that every time I see kydex sheaths/holsters they always look bulky?

I know I feel the same when I look at one, but it feels so diferent when i use it. Kydex is so slim and light weight that it compensates
When looked at from this side the leather sheath looks more bulky

Side/end wise yes, I'm talking about the face profile. And not just knife sheaths but gun holsters as well, a sheath or holster should be less is more. Another words it shouldn't add unnecessary bulk to the item it in cases

Yes I totally agree with you
But personally i like kydex even if they can be a bit wider. I usually keep my bigger knives on my pack anyway.
I really like the leather sheath for the 6hm but unfortunately I am left handed

Shane, great meeting you this weekend. Got to see this one in person and why I ordered one as soon as I got home. Now about that Izula folder...

You have to admit a 4hm Black Oxide finish, 90 degree spine with G10 handles would look fantastic beside this one!!
    Just saying. lol.
Seriously though I love this knife!

Now that the GB6HM has been out a while....I'd like to hear thoughts on how well it functions for those of you that are using it on a regular basis....especially if you have other HM models to compare it too!!

How does the GB6HM compare to our traditional HM lines?

Do you like the G10 scales?

what about the Black Oxide coating as compared to the traditional coating?

    90* spine?

    Enquiring minds want to know!

Had this discussion on IG. Better ergonomics and finish is much improved.

Black oxide is king once you get through the outer layers. The g10, while i initally was against it, has grown on me to where i prefer it. As far as the spine, it works great to make very small tinder. Very rarely will i use it for a ferro rod. Balanced feel. I give it five stars.

I have to agree here....this was our largest Group Buy to date and we still have some to sell.... I will say that I believe that THIS knife will be highly sought after once people realize how good it is.....and they are gone!

It will also dictate how often, and WHAT, we would be willing to do in the way of another Group Buy knife....

I have not been bush at all in way too long so have not hacked/chopped/slashed/cleaned my fingernails with it as yet. On ergonmics, I have a 6 and the GB6HM, in hand I much prefer the 6HM, it just seems better to me, I always prefer G10 over about anything common so that is a win for me. The grip lines make it feel and to a degree (positively) handle like a smaller knife. I am at this point neutral on the other differences till I get some damn use out of it.

    It's BLACK :D
I'm liking it more the more I use it.
    Good ergonomics/balance
I like the BO finish (just wish the engravings were deeper)
Always like G10, grippy and easy to clean
    (and it's not orange :p)
Not crazy about the 90° spine when using the pinch grip, will probably round it off slightly with sandpaper.
Sheath should have been BLACK instead of Doo Doo browno_O
    Obligatory pic's

Need some BLACK G10 grip's for my S&W now ;)
    IMG_20180907_092604.jpg
And it does a"BLOODY" fine job of cleaning pesky piggies :p

One thing i will say for the black oxide is if you baton at all the logo is gone fast. Buy two if you need to look at it.
