I feel dirty for ordering one, knowing that it's an error. But, with how many of these "kits" have sold so quickly, I figured I'd jump on one (or two ). Here's my thinking - since it is a large company, and eBay Feedback/Reputation is more important than gold to most sellers, they may end up eating the loss and fulfilling all the orders (at the expense of the poor sap who typed in the wrong price) in order to avoid anyone throwing a fit or filing a complaint with eBay.
Well, that was short-lived. They just revised the listing and updated the quantity available to zero.
I ordered 4.... lol. Looks like they sold 46 total... hopefully they actually send out, but I doubt it... that's like $25k worth of inventory for $500 bucks. lolol
That's hilarious - I just did the math myself, haha. 46 sold @ $11/ea. (regularly $599), that's a total loss of $27,048.00!
I would be totally stoked if this went through (although it's highly unlikely), and then i'd probably buy any future camera gear from Beach Camera.
Got this today from the Unlimited Eliteworks. $12.50. I think it's pretty cool. Needs sharpening, but interesting design/blade shape.
That is pretty unique - it looks almost handmade with that grind pattern. Have yet to get a tracking # for my order, but he's emailed me to check-in and let me know everything is on the up 'n up. He's aware of this thread, too, which is good.
Well, they cancelled the camera orders.... but as a consolation, offered to give free shipping on a future order if placed within 60 days.... yay.... meh.

Nah, that one was too good. I've gotten some good ones in the past though. Amazon used to honor stupid price mistakes but even they quit. Coupon error codes are more likely to be honored. Used to be on Slickdeals.net all the time. Got a lot of cool stuff but it became too time consuming. Still find something random on my own now and then. Got a pair of wool/silk wigwams yesterday for $6. Only had one pair in stock. I don't really search them out any more.
Of course my order was also cancelled. It's funny that some folks have left negative feedback for them already, lol.
