Does anyone have any recommendations on inshore fishing guides in Charleston SC . Looking for a 4-6 hour trip for myself and two 12 year olds. I'm not a fan of the large offshore boats. Thanks
Man, it's hard to find a BAD restaurant in Downtown Charleston. My advice is just walk around and pick one that looks good to you cause it will be good. I particularly like Red's Icehouse over in Mt Pleasant. It is more for the atmosphere than anything though. Sitting out on the deck next to the river is how I like to eat. They have decent seafood but it's cool to eat there for me outside. Downtown is much fancier but you get the high quality shrimp and grits there. And you can swing in the giant swings overlooking the water.
I fished with Captain Lee Taylor about 15 years ago and had a blast. I have no idea if he is still doing charters. I love inshore fishing.
I will echo the praise for downtown Chucktown restaurants! I live there for 8 years and never got a bad meal. The Southend Brewery was an economical favorite. Only Chicago can rival the food there. It is also one of the prettiest town in America. I only left because politicians moved my job.
