Nice! Do y'all head that way often? If so, check out the Pocket at Crockford Pigeon Mountain WMA. It's not far from Cloudland Canyon. There is a small water fall fed by a spring and drainages coming off the mountain. Unless it has rained a lot lately there won't be a lot of water coming down, but there is a lot of good hiking in the area, including some old short tunnels you can walk through that were part of a small rail system from an old mining operation. The falls. The spring that feeds it. There's also a camping area just above the falls. We stop there for lunch sometimes when hiking that area. Also look up Lula Lake Landtrust. They have a cool waterfall and some hiking.
That was the first time I have ever been to Cloudland actually. I will most certainly be back though, there are several trails in that area that I want to try out. The hour drive isn't so bad either. Thanks for the recommendation. I'll most certainly check it out.
