Been waiting for these to arrive locally. Tritan non-bpa plastic, pretty much crush , abrasion, shatter proof. Hot/cold/freezing, no prob.

what sets these waterproof air tight storage jars apart is the DOUBLE silicone O ring seal. They are almost 1/4" thick.

    3" diameter, about 9" tall.

I see these as being great for the pack. Stow a firekit, med kit etc in these. Anything you need to stay DRY, absolutely dry. Having a firekit or meds or FAK in this, during a canoe rollover or fall into river could save your life.

the fact they are crush and abrasion proof just adds to their value. As well as any odor producing item / food stored in these WILL not be smelled outside or on the container

Another use for these is the SODIS method of solar water sterilization, since these jars can handle heat extremes .

Cool product and a great/easy way to keep gear from water. Where do you find these things?

Edit: just saw the Lee Valley logo
