This weekend I went with my parents to Bramwell, WV, an old coal town that in the late 1800's had the highest per capita millionaires of any town in America. 14 to 19 millionaires, due to all the coal. Most of the old mansions are still there and a few times a year tours are given. Main Street We ate lunch at the Corner Shop Cafe, made like the old soda fountains. The old Train Depot converted into a Coal Heritage Museum Yikes! The Bluestone River Some of the old Mansions An Old Church
The old Bank of Bramwell. Converted into a residence We also stopped by Pinnacle Rock State Park. Overlook
Nice I've road a four wheeler through that town several times its interesting to hear people pronounce the name some leave the W out!
You can see there was money there back in the day !!! There are a few towns like that here that were built on gold and cotton $s !!
