I still prefer my 12ga Mav with the full stock as seen earlier in this thread. I had mine configured like this (pistol grip) earlier in its life and converted it back to the standard stock. This one I borrowed from my Son and it was already set up with the grip with the exception of adding the light. It has the extended tube so when it's loaded its a bit heavy for my liking.
This configuration ensures it is legal in Canada, with over a 20 inch barrel and over 26 inches LOA and easier to store in the MH than with the full stock.
I still prefer my Mossberg 590 Shockwave at just 26 LOA loaded with Aguila Mini shells.
I do like the scabbard ($22.56) although its slightly oversized for the Shockwave but will work fine.

FYI propane fuel averages about .70-85 cents CAD per litre up here lately. Not sure if that helps plan the fuel budget for the drive.

    image.jpeg 13 days to liftoff.

The stock bear spray holster didn't work well on my pack. Thought I would give this a try.
The two semi-dry boxes were from Menards on the last trip to WI. $4.99 each. Tough to pass up.

Lightening caused fires (Swan Lake) on the Kenai, we may have to mod some plans. Will probably burn until snowfall.

Seems like the Holster is going to work. Cross draw on the left shoulder. Added two Molle straps.

you got a tire repair kit??? (plugs, tools, big patches , glue etc) and a 12 Volt air pump or big bicycle pump? Not sure if your hitting gravel highways up there but sometimes the road crews crush up local rock instead of using proper 3/4 crush road base......the local stuff is like glass....

the shards can wreak havoc on tires.......

The Noco booster packs are awesome. I’ve had one (can’t recall if it’s the same model as yours or not) for 3-4 years now and it’s got me out of a couple of jams already with the Tacoma. There is a bit of parasitic drain so you need to make sure you top up the charge every couple of months, but fully charged it will start my Tacoma with a dead battery no problem.

image.jpeg I have Cancelled reservations at Grizzly Ridge in the Kenai. We Will still visit the area but want some flexibility.
The Swan Lake Fire is still burning, and depending on the wind, visibility and breathing particulate can be unpleasant or worse. We've Been there and done that before two years ago in Glacier. No fun.

    GB40 NOCO arrived and charged.

Some of the lighting, blades and tools that are usually onboard and available for EDC.

Six days prior to departure. Load up commences Sunday.
