She..(Who is a goddess made manifest ;) ) sent down an order from her high place, to the Lowly... (in the kitchen), "Make for me, something delicious and new, that you have not made before." Absolutely. :)
I give you, Moroccan Chicken made with dukkah spice and some vegetables you might find being cultivated along fertile riverbanks in ancient times.
    20210309_110729.jpg
Dukkah spice is both aromatic and sweet.
It has bite but a pleasant flavor given by brown sugar or honey

    20210310_131648.jpg
There's also olives and sundried tomatoes.

    20210311_123938.jpg
Tomatoes were halved, seared, and blended fo sauce, plus more of my homemade stock

    20210311_131419.jpg
Anytime some unobtainable vegetable is called for I just find a workable substitute

Ever get the feeling something...weird, is about to happen?

Daughter #1 asked if I could make something for her and her bf while avoiding excessive barbarism. She does know WHO she is talking to right?!

Apparently this means Nothing I murder/death/killed with a rifle, No hacking or waving of a machete, and No weeds or plants that grow in the yard or ditch. (How am I supposed to properly evaluate a bf candidate without those?!!)

(Shhhh. I might have “accidentally “ convinced him I was a cannibal while she was out of the room. :D )

Today's healthy selection, Lohikeitto. (Yeah, I have no clue how to pronounce that. ;) ) Finnish Salmon Soup...the Texas edition.

Fennel is a great compliment to fish, I like to smash mine a bit to help release the flavor

It called for fish stock. I'd have to make a 100 mile round trip to "hopefully "find a whole or bone in salmon. Homemade savory chicken stock it is.

The "Icelandic Option ". While researching this I found another version in an Icelandic blog, theirs called for a tempered egg. I gotta try that. :D

2 people =4 slabs of fish. Hack em into pretty big chunks. Helps it stay together...

Back in the forever ago, compadre @Bushman5 (yes I'm tagging the furry oaf in the hope he gets a smartphone alert and remembers he has friends here!) would post epic photo threads..the days of dial up death. I would let my 11-16 kbps run for hours to see them. This is one of those...stay with me...
I went on a foraging walkabout.

Well now, What to do with a box full of weeds?
In the quest for culinary satisfaction I present " Poulet au Vinaigre". A French dish. I hope the great Julia Child looks down with a smile on my lowly attempt.
    20210327_115443.jpg
It will need a base. It's simple, has few ingredients. And you probably have them in your cabinet anyway.

    20210327_120159.jpg
    The aforementioned box of weeds.

    20210327_125657.jpg
To which we will add these from the recipe.
