Just the ham radio and diff breather so far. Next month we will get sliders ordered.

I use that for myself but it will only show what service a Toyota USA dealer puts in his records. Your own oil changes or work at a Firestone shop won't be in there.

Yes. And like anything else dependent on a human for input there are mistakes and not everything done at a dealership may even be in there. We've run into that a couple of times.

Where did you extend the breather to? In the past I've routed them up into the vehicle cabin or behind the tail light assembly in the body. I've noticed a lot of 4runner guys going inside the fuel door. I have to do ours as soon as the fittings come in.

I went to the engine compartment. I planned on routing the front and transfer case to the same breather but lost the ambition at the time. Ive heard they are already routed high enough but i want to get under there and be 100% sure.

Ok, I thought we were talking about the rear diff. I'm going to leave our front diff and T-case breathers alone for the time being.

My mistake. When you said the engine bay I assumed you were talking about the front. I've always run the rear to somewhere in the back. Sorry for the confusion.

Im not confused. Pretty sure anyways. Most days.

I ran the rear diff breather to the front. Considered the jack compartment and the gas cap area but didnt.

I took the rear diff breather and used some tubing to move it up into the gas cap area

That's what I'm going to do. I was considering the jack storage area like Strigidae mentioned, but I have a future plan for that area that the breather line might interfere with.

Ok now i need to know what you have planned for the jack storage area! Learning a ton from everyone here. Soft shackles and more.

@RedEyedHog is good with thread hijacks.

Y’all hi jack away. It’s about to be back on track though. Got home last night with the new 4Runner. We’re gonna go ride some forest service roads this afternoon. Pics to follow.

It's nothing to necessarily do with offroad travel. I'm just looking at ways to solve a problem with secure, lockable storage for smallish items that I'd rather anyone who breaks into the truck not easily get there hands on. I'll share more of the details when I actually figure them out, lol.

Truck was completely detailed and clean when we got it yesterday.....not anymore. We had a blast. Drove to the highest mountain in the Sipsey Wilderness, Penitentiary Mountain. Good time. I can see this is gonna get addicting. I think we’ve even decided to go to the Overlanding Expo in Asheville next Sunday. Got a few campsites we’re gonna hit on the way up.

No pics of the dirty truck.
