I finally broke down and picked up a kydexed 3HM. I knew that I was going to love it but I had been hoping to see it released in S35VN. Just couldn't wait any longer but now kicking myself for waiting as long as I did. The standard 1095 3 has been my go-to for years and I keep one in my vehicle, another in my go-bag and another in my shop. The recent release of the stainless model just took it up another level for me. But I knew I had to get the 3HM after handling my nephew's 4HM. I like the 3HM even better, though I wish it had the black oxide finish. It will be criminal if this one doesn't get released in S35VN for enhanced camp kitchen and critter carving sliceability.
The 3HM is amazing. The blade shape, feel in hand - for me it's perfect. I also have a 4HM, which is of course more capable for a do it all woods knife due to being a bit sturdier, but for everyday cutting nothing can beat a 3 IMO.
