Thanks, you too. Did you have him scored yet?
Yes, he scored 160 1/4"! They say you have to wait 6 months before you score due to shrinkage? I've never heard of that before!
Both my bucks have been on the small side. This year, I hope I see something a little more mature.
Hey, if it's brown, it's down! Nice bucks Schmittie, I would have shot those too. They cook just as well as any other buck!
Yup, the drying period. Kinda dumb but oh well. Damn nice deer! I have a 159 1/8 with my bow about five years ago. That's a lot of bone.
Nice bucks, can't eat horns they don't even make good soup.
Yes, I think the biggest one I killed before this one only measure 120"+, so this one was a kill of a lifetime for me!
Do you have a pic of that 159"er?
What a stud! Look at that neck!
Dang, when are y'all gonna ask me to go hunting?! All I ever see is little 6 pointers.
I hope to shoot a Pope and Young buck one day!
Thanks I hyperventilate after I shot him. Lot of work to get this guy.
He made pope, this score is after 10" of deductions which is crap if you ask me, if they grow it, it should count.
That is cool
I don't blame you for starting this thread again, I'd be hard pressed not to carry him around with me LOL!
I love the whole story, especially that you got him with an iron sighted 45/70! Hoping I'll get one with my 45/70 handirifle this primitive rifle season.
Nothing huge, but my biggest so far.
Right after I kill one like that.
I'm not even a hunter and I can appreciate that. Do you know how much he weighed?
