I wanted to share some pics of my other hobby. I started making leashes about a year ago. Took me over 6 months to get the back-braid just right, to where it was aesthetically pleasing while still maintaining the strength required for a working dog. These are just a few that I found in various places around the house. Some of them are the older ones that you can still see the melt points. The melt is hidden inside the new ones. I don't sell these at the moment, just a hobby. I have a few collars but usually make leashes as my wife collects collars (mostly leather)

I use E.L. Wood cord. They have the biggest selection of colors that I could find. I stick with the same company because if I use two different companies together, when making a two color leash, the small differences in size/texture cause the pattern to spiral instead of being straight.

Excellent work, I struggle to make anything longer than a bracelet.

The bracelets were my gateweay drug. It really isn't too hard once you get going, but it is very frustrating trying to learn the braids (at least it was for me) I learned from watching youtube videos
