Described as "used like new" Too good to be true? Will it say Ezee Knives Szechuan Idaho? Come in two pieces from being used as Ren Faire throwing knife?
Apparently there is a section of amazon that has used items with no warranty etc. Searching for "esee" i found an old style izula for 45$. Trying to compete with ebay maybe?
I think it's a knife that was returned so they're reselling at a discount, not some knock off junk sold by a third party. Looks like there was only one. Sorry for the confusion Edit oh yeah there's an izula in "damaged packing" for $ 46
Generally it's returned items. Most of my experience with it has been stuff in perfect condition that has been opened before. If it's only a few bucks off, there's no point. Sometimes they drop the price an insane amount, and it's worth taking a shot on. Like a $400 tool for $100
Amazon does sell goods from third party dealers which are stocked out of amazon warehouses, which are sometimes in used condition. It will be noted on the webpage.
I got the Izula today, the box was beat up but the knife is fine. Not sure it was that much cheaper than some of the izulas at bladehq. Nice little knife.
I've had extremely good luck with Amazon warehouse deals. They can be returns. Can be items that get dropped in the warehouse. Just about everything you can imagine. More often than not they arrive new and unopened items. I think employees occasionally mark things as damaged and then if no one buys them in a couple weeks they get a shot. Just a hunch. I've saved a ton of money. Returns are free if the description is inaccurate so there's not much risk. I've probably only needed to return maybe 2 out of 150 items. Just bought a gaggia brera for $330. Was absolutely brand new and unopened. Box was still sealed. $120 off.
Someone bought a 4 and a 5 put the 4 in the 5 box and returned it and got a refund on the 5, so they got a 5 for the price of a 4 Amazon could not tell as the bag the knife comes in is not marked and they did not notice the difference in sheath color What's a man's honor worth now? $ 60 :/
