Crappy phone pic! Got plans for a aftermarket adapter to make a GSR cleaver bayonet? Also want to add White's boots to the American made series, (those are actually Hathorn Hi-lines in the pic but they are made by White's. And where did all that scout liturture go, I saw you posted it and planned to come back to read it!

Is anyone a patch designer? I'm a sticker magnate myself and I tend to stay in my lane.

I would think the black outline of a scout with a forward mounted scope would look cool. Expat Knives Scout Squad patch. I'd buy them for everyone if the minimums weren't too large. It's not like thousands will want that patch.

Maybe we should just do zippos....

Going to cabelas this evening to look at some scopes, really liking the look of the fixed power leupold scout scope, love the idea of the durability of a fixed power scope and how sleek it looks, putting my budget around 400 for a scope and rings, any other thoughts?

That's the exact one I have and no problems so far. I would buy it again. Your budget should be good.

I don't have quick detach rings on mine. And I would get those next time so I could pop off the scope and use the irons. I like the Warne QD's I have on my 700.

Yeah I was definitely planning on getting quick detach rings. Also gonna get a few magpuls, probably a 5 round and a 10.

Shot the scout a bunch more today, favorite ammo so far is federal 180 grain soft points, at 100 yards shooting off of a rolled up sleeping bag I was shooting groups with all of the holes touching, winchester 147 grain fmj was pretty disappointing at around 3 inches (also the cheapest ammo I could find though...) tula steel case 165 grain soft point was inbetween those too, that will probably become my main plinking/range ammo and the federal will become my woods and hunting/varmit ammo. Definitely going to be my go too gun for most everything now.
