They may not be "all hype", but they are getting hyped up. I probably won't get one anytime soon with the feeding frenzy going on.

That's for sure they are. I'm hoping a lot of guys will be satisfied getting S!K's with the D3V steel and leave the Carothers to me ;)

@IW17 i thought the same thing but Nathan is a genius of a machinist so I'm sure it'll feel lighter in the hand than the numbers suggest. Time will tell.

Nice. It's definitely something. Never saw something sell out so fast.
If y'all ever decide to pass those EDCs along and sell them let me know. Slim chances though I bet.

Nobody believes me when I say they're over in seconds.

Sorry brother I got mine as a collector piece to complete the matching set with my 2nd FK that has custom scales and a custom sheath.

Haha I know man it's out of character for me but with the CPK's they're too damn hard to get.

Hopefully. I just can't wait for the pair of NASK's I have on order. That's going to be something I bet. A little thick for my taste but he wants something you could stake your life on.

Ok guys, I'm headed to Colorado for a 5 day hike. Do I take the edc or one of the fks?

FK for sure man. I don't feel that it's too big for anything really. Maybe skinning a frog.

Well here's the proof. Picked up and edc on the last sale and finally got it in last weekend. Had some health issues I'm still dealing with, but wanted to add to the knife pic porn. A HUGE thanks to @Grog for the pocket sheath. He was kind enough to send me one of his "one off" "screw ups" for free, despite how much I insisted he at least allow me to cover some of the costs. Perfect match. I would have gladly paid for it. Thank you sir. You truly are a top notch member and a talented person. I can't say how much I appreciate it. It's been in my pocket every day I've been healthy enough to leave the house!

^ That's awesome man, thanks for the props, I'd like to think it'll last as long as the knife does but that Delta 3V is pretty serious business. Glad you're up and about.

A bit of hopefully helpful advice if you're trying to score one of the CPK's on the Friday sales. Your browser should have an option to disable images, do that. I missed out on a few before someone gave me that tidbit. The sales ad has a lot of pics and if you wait for them to load you're probably going to be too late unless you are on a screaming fast connection. Type out your "I'll take one" message ahead of time and have it copied so you can just paste it in then hit reply. I wouldn't even bother trying on a phone but my phone kinda sucks so it may work fast enough for some people.

The EDC is a little slice of genius, the handle is perfect for me. I'm probably going to kick myself in the ass for not going after a D2 and 4V version but I don't see this one being upstaged any time soon.

@Grog every sale I've ever scored in (which is every one I've tried except the first) was done on my phone lol. I gotta get my FK out and put some miles on it. I had a D3V EDC and now I have the D2. I can say this much about Nate's D2, it holds and razor edge for what seems like forever compared to something like my Sebenzas or basically any other steel I've had. Also, I take it to the strop and it legitimately dumps the hair off my arm after about 30 seconds.

Yesterday was the first day my edc got significant use, both at the vegetable farm and in restoring the farmhouse/yard. I have to say it did very well and was quite comfortable. The edge too held up well in cutting lots of semi-tough woody plants.

Ok, I'm taking the Fk in a Sagewood sheath, and a leatherman squirt ps4. It's a 5 day hike through the San Juans. Hope to get some great pictures.
