The chainring pivot bolts were a known weak-point on the previous releases - causing blade slop and loosening up over time. They seem to have resolved that issue with new sealed chainring bolts and ceramic bearing pivot. I've been messing with it all morning, and it is still solid and centered with a solid lockup.

I got this one today and it took up residence in my pocket. I put a nasty edge on it. This one is now officially a slicer.

How's it compare to an izzy 2? I like the esquire, but it would take a lot to bump my izzy out of the top spot.

    ETA.

Church is over. Switched to the Izzy and started the backyard bushcraft, drink beer and chill mode. Grill startup in T minus 90 minutes.

If I'm not carrying one of my Fiddlebacks, then it's an Izzy. For work it's always an Izzy. Hard to compare a custom with a producion blade. Both great knives though. The Esquires are priced quite a bit higher. I think they're well worth it.
