I picked up sparrows tuxedo kit and their three acrylic practice locks a while back. A+ stuff plus it won't break the bank
Wouldn't you know. I'm pretty much the SCHNEIDER(google him younguns) for the building I live in and some other properties the landlord owns. Cuts down rent big time! Anyway, the people upstairs were tossed and I had to change the lock. So I have my first lock to practice on.
HPC picks were the best I ever used when I was a full time locksmith. Just make sure you're actually allowed to own or carry them first though. Some states or counties will give you a hard time if you aren't licensed as a locksmith.
Received my Bogotas from ITS Tactical on Thursday. I haven't purchased any practice locks yet but figured out how to easily open a stackon type handgun safe and a storage unit padlock. Surprised how easy those opened.
It takes continuous practice to stay sharp at it. I try to open my front door two-three times a week with the pickset, and always use picks on padlocks I have to open(all with permission of course).
I have a friend who has an older version of that thing and has been looking for another one for years. Ordering him a couple and one for myself. He's going to be happy as hell.
Just ordered a set. Been carry a small hook pick and tension tool in my wallet and wanted an upgrade.
I just made one yesterday. Tried it on my door works like a charm. Im going to pick up the set from sparrows this week. Btw, buying from sparrows is like getting everything for 25% off with the crappy exchange rate.
I was watching a BosnianBill video the other day, and he read a comment from someone who ordered from uslockpicking and neither one has recieved their order. Said he has been waiting over a month. He advised everyone not to order from there
