I got the truck dyno tuned last week over at MPT. Mods are borla turbo upgrade, 2.5" true dual exhaust, down pipes with resonator delete and high flow cats, drop in filter, wagner intercooler. Not bad for a daily driver.
Holy **** dude. Not bad at all. Got any videos? I've refrained from modding my EB F150 for two reasons. 1) It's still under factory warranty until 125,000 miles. 2) the EB sounds like dogshit through an open exhaust.
Mike over at mpt is putting together a video. I will add it to this whenever he posts it. There was an episode on All Girls Garage with a 2011 f150 borla turbo upgrade with oddly similar mods, hmm,
That's good. I've already had a trans issue in my truck. 2013 EB 4WD and the transmission decided to downshift to 1st gear while I was doing 65mph. I thought someone had read ended me. Took it in to Ford and they replaced some rail in the trans, some sensors and some type of electronics board (I'm not automatic transmission savvy. Manuals are a different story) and it hasn't happened since. The only "modification" I ever did to my truck was venting the OEM BOV to atmosphere and it caused the CEL to come on. Brought it to Ford and they had to replace a sensor and a wiring harness. So I've decided to just leave the damn thing alone.
How are you liking the '15? Do you do any towing with it at all? I think this trip was the most I've ever hauled with mine. Horse trailer is 3,500lbs empty. I had two horses (1000lbs and 1300lbs), all of our other animals (100lbs), tools, feed, etc. in the tac room (probably 600lbs), a cast iron stove, dirtbike and all guns/ammo in the truck (another 600lbs) and the trip was from NH to NC. Truck never skipped a beat and I got around 13mpg. So around 12,600 gross weight, not including fuel and passengers.
I'm currently at 80K miles. My factory Ford warranty is good until 125,000 miles. I paid extra for that.
I haven't had any major issues with mine, other than getting used to the low end torque when I first got it. Even with traction control on, the rear end likes to get away from you on these trucks. My step-mom drives a Colorado and shes used to having to get into the gas to go anywhere from a stop. Getting into my truck she spins the wheels every time until she gets used to the power.
