Hemingway & Buffett, very cool & 2 men who know/knew how to get the most living out of one lifetime! Good many pics I hadn't seen before.

I thought that Robert Roark wrote a lot like Hemingway.

Ruark is one of my favorites.

It doesnt hurt he's a fellow Carolinian.

I need to start another thread on him.

If you are a Hemingway fan, get yourself a copy of "A River Runs Through It" by Norman Maclean. Quality stuff there.

I hope it's better than the movie. I thought that movie sucked.

It's about 1,000 better. The movie did suck, and ventured far from the story. And the book has two more great stories .
If you buy it, read it, and don't like it, pm me and I'll buy it from you.

Took a break in the field a few weeks ago deer hunting. Cranberry bread from the mother in law and a good read:

Cool knife. What kind is it? And what is the hole in the blade for?

Skookum Bush Tool. The hole is called a shearing hole. I guess according to Mors in his Bushcraft book, you can put a nail etc in the hole and turn it into a fixed cutter for cutting lots of things. Think of a large paper cutter.

Kinda gimmicky but a different idea.
