That top knife was given to one of our military instructors in Peru. He still has that knife. Last time I was down I tried to buy it from him and he won't sell it.

I'd absolutely love to try that thing out skinning a deer! There's a Dexter-Russel knife that has a very similar swept back blade for skinning.

I was aware of the TOPS LS, and have planned to find one at some point since the LS is my favorite smaller esee and I'm dying to try the flint striker portion of the tang on the TOPS model. I'd like to hear more of the livesay LS when you get to it.

This is where it all started. This bakery on the amazon is right next to a brothel, the police station and a bar. Needless to say Mike's been in all 4 of them.

Mike just corrected me. We do have that instructor's knife. I know the first time we tried to get it back from him he wouldn't part with it but we did manage to steal it on one of our last trips.

It was a really good bakery.))))
But there was that one legendary night in the bar..... 30 + quarts of beer, many characters with varied backgrounds, Aguardiente, Bee Gees singing Stayin Alive and a white brahma bull...

I think that project went by the wayside when Expat made it in the big leagues as a sticker mogul.
