Glad to see you waking up and converting to HK lol. Those are the 405gr bear loads. I figured if those 325gr JHP's at 2000fps didn't dispatch it the big hard cast lead would.
Sheeeit. My great uncle took down 30+ bear in his time with nothing bigger than a .30-06! You hunt with that thing and you won't get rugs, you'll end up with fur hankies.
Glad to hear she liked it! My son's lower was originally going to be my 300blk pistol until I talked myself out of it with thinking the election would go the other way and wanted him to have an AR when he came of age if another AWB was passed.
Na the hard cast lead rounds don't really expand much. They punch through and break stuff. Those 325gr JHP's gotta be absolutely brutal though.
My dad's killed a couple whitetail with the 325gr leverevolutions from his 1885 Highwall. The damage wasn't excessive, but it put them down quickly with great expansion. I need to get me some 200gr hardcast 10mm from Underwood ammo. I've heard really good things about hunting with hardcast bullets in rounds that don't break much past 2000fps.
I wanna pimp out a 15/22 before my can gets here. Thank GOD there's plenty of time for that! Best close range varmint combo evar!! Oh wait... YOU can support this cause very easily! Stop the noise: http://americansuppressorassociation.com/hearing-protection-act/
There was a time I took the X400 off the HK45 to compare it to the Emperor Scorpion. It went right back on after this.
Here is my 642 Centennial with the grips that I misplaced 6 months ago and just found this week. These are EagleGrips and are called the Secret Service style. Very compact for easy concealment but they do not afford a great grip. Versus the Pachmayr grip which I do so very much like. The Pachmayr completely envelopes the butt of the gun whereas the wood grips above are flush with the square butt plate. Obvious size difference.
I've got a pair of those Eagle grips somewhere. They came with the 442 I currently have. I didn't really care for them so I tossed on a set of CT grips I had left from a previously owned J frame. They do look nice, though.
