It will be interesting to see how the playoff committee ranks Ohio State if they don't play for the Big ten championship.

I don't see how Ohio State is going to make it.

My guess is going to come down to Alabama vs Ohio State for the National Championship, with Alabama squeezing out the win.

I wouldnt either but it will interesting none the less since the committee has them ranked so highly right now yet wont be playing for the big x championship (pending penn state wins)

I cant speak for everyone else but im not sayin ohio state isnt good enough to win a nc, im sayin i wonder if the committee will even keep them in the top 4 which, so far, i dont think they will esp. if penn state wins the big x title.

That's what I'm saying. I'm thinking they'll let the winners of the conferences go. And I think that's how it should be.

That's my thinking as well but i could very well be wrong. Its going to be vry interesting to see where the committee places osu if penn state wins the big x champ. Since thts osu's only loss and with penn state being conference champs (hypothetically speaking)

If Wisconsin bets Penn State OSU should go because OSU bet Wisconsin. Love all the OSU haters and doubters out there. Makes me smile :D

This I agree with. If Penn State loses, OSU should go.

I know it's not a requirement for a team to win the conference, but that's how every other sport works so I think that's how it should be in college too. Many times the team with the best record doesn't always win the Super Bowl, the Stanley Cup, whatever. That's what makes it interesting-there's always a chance if you just keep winning the next game. I love college football but it kind of sucks if a team loses the second week of the season and then you know they will have a hard time getting to the playoffs for the rest of the season. College football is structured now so that the suspense can be taken out of a team's season very very early. Even the first week possibly.

They need to expand the playoff to more teams.

This. Case study: Washington Nationals. Best record in baseball a few year ago, out in a minute in playoffs.

As bad as I hate to say it, AL is looking good for the championship. Of course my team got beat by Vandy last night. I'm going to go bury my head in the sand now.
