Is there a very slight recurve in the 0562 blade edge or do my old eyes deceive me?

I got mine in too and it's perfect in every way! I'm really digging the blacked out look. ZTs normally come with ****ty sharpness, but this one is quite nice! @Wolfman Zack is sending me a factory black g10 scale and I'm going to swap the orange out for that one instead.

    Thanks again @Scott Whittington!

Those 0562ORBLKs look incredible! Very striking contrast, but still subdued and not obscenely "in your face".

I like the orange scales, but that blacked-out look is going to be badass @91bravo!

Had a good customer (A great photographer) who I talked in to getting the ZT0456. He thanked me with these awesome photos, loves the knife and said "It's the biggest little knife I've ever owned"

There should not be a recurve in the blade; however, a little recurve is the result of the plunge grind not terminating prior to the heel of the blade. The blade being wider at the plungegrind can make it difficult to sharpen without causing a recurve. The alternatives are changing the sharpening angle at the heel, removing the portion of the edge hampered by the plunge grind thickness, or ending up with a wider sharpeneing bevel at the heel for the length of the plunge grind. You're probably not imagining the recurve. It's probably there, but it should not be. This is not uncommon with many of the ZT designs.

Dude, that's freaking awesome. I really don't wanna be "that guy", but I might have an all black 562 in my future. Too dang cool.

Hot damn, that looks good! You're making me jealous, Jonny! :)

I am in the process of dyeing the handles black on my Junglas and stripped ESEE4. I'm not a depressed goth kid, mall ninja, tacti-cool SWAT wannabe or anything like that - but I've always been a fan of a more monochromatic color palette (grays, black, flat black, etc.).

I followed @91bravo 's lead on this one. The orange against black just seemed a little too garish too me. I had another 0562 that I had done a custom scale on and still had the black scale left over. Here is my switch.

Orange went to the stonewashed Elmax blade and black was given to the new CTS 204P blade.

The blacked out 0562 is a definite winner.

And the Elmax blade presents far better, in my opinion, against the orange scale.
