Thanks, but I was texting with a friend last night and he's got one in a junk drawer with the tip broken off which he is going to drop off. That makes me feel better because I'm going to take a dremel to it anyway.

I've also found a guy who thinks that he can 3d print one side scale and make it so that will accept Spyderco style pocket clips, in both the tip up and tip down position.

I absolutely love the Rangergrip, big slicy blade and a saw to match. Size-wise it's as big as my Large Voyager, but with added tools. I carry it everywhere with me.

I like it so much, that I'm really thinking about getting the serrated OD green one as well. Anyone has experience with it? I know that it will be a mean cutter, but not sure how I will sharpen it... with a conical diamond rod I guess?

I picked up a set of titanium scales for my Mini Champ from Prometheus Design Works.

I'm very pleased with them. They're designed for the Mini Champ, so there's a spot the tweezers/toothpick and it's milled for the pen. The glow dot glows brightly, and even after the light fades the glow lasts a long time.

    Most importantly, they look cool.

No issues installing them, they snapped on very securely and after a few weeks of constant pocket carry, haven't come loose at all.

Two complaints I've read about them is that they're heavier than the standard red plastic scales and that they don't have a rounded edge profile, so they seem a little bulkier. Both of these points are true, but neither of them bother me at all.

Again, overall I'm very pleased. I think they're worth the cost ($55 USD).

Almost 3 months with the Farmer X and I love it even more. What an awesome EDC.

Blade HQ happened to have the Dessert Warrior Tinker in stock so I grabbed one and a set of scales for my latest Izula.

Probably going to be a safe queen, but I love the joke as much as I love a good SAK.

I carry a camo huntsman in my pocket everyday, and it comes in handy a lot, i have added a grim fish hook micro tool under some gorilla tape, it's not pretty but it could come in handy. Also have the firefly ferro rod installed in place of the tooth pick, and in the cork screw I have the tinder from tortas gear too, covered with a heat shrink tube, I found the tinder was degrading prob from wear in my pocket, it help preserve the tinder in the corkscrew.[IMG]

I used the Rangergrip to open some ice cold beers yesterday, just to remind myself what a great tool it is. That's pretty much the most use it will see while it's 40 C outside :D

The Alox Farmer X is still my go to on most days.. I've been testing out the pocket slip from PNW Bushcraft and like it a LOT... keeps gear in pockets organized and oriented well.
