My 2nd Prometheus Design Workz titanium survival tube, black PVD finish This one will turned into a well stocked bleeding edge ultralight survival fishing kit - with power pro synthetic braided fishing line, titanium fishing hooks, hand tied fishing flies , tungsten sinkers
Prometheus Design Workz titanium survival tube - set up as a micro survival fishing kit. has 250 feet of PowerPro synthetic braid 50 lb test (10 lb diameter) fishing line, 2 tungsten drop shot weights, 3 tungsten slider weights, 1 micro float, bunch of red anodized titanium fishing hooks. didn't include more floats (no room) because I can always make one easily in the field. Same with fishing flies/lures - easy to make in field from feathers, fur, fluff, etc most of my fishing setups are simple drop shot rigs or just a hook / bait set up , or multi hooks on a single line tossed in the water the fishing kit is multipurpose too - the hooks can be used as needles , the fishing line as bombproof thread , cordage or tripwire usage
Here’s an idea for your E kits. In this photo you see that items use various colors of paracord lanyards, each 5-6 inches when unknotted. Using the inner strands as wrap and the outer cover as fly/lure material it’s possible to make many different colors and types of artificial baits. My fish kit (white tube) is approximately the size of a Chap-Stic container and the nylon mesh bag below it is a divers rinse bag. It acts as a creel or foraging bag that can be dunked or rinsed in the water. (Sorry. I kinda hijacked. )
Upgraded the Prometheus Design Werkz titanium survival tube fire kit removed the cordage (I got miles of it in the webbing kit) and added beeswax soaked cotton cord , wrapped around the tube. Waterproof fire tinder, plus added a Exotac NanoSpark 4" piece of waxed cotton string, twisted apart, about a 30 second burn time. @Twoody88
More S&S Precision LockOut stash can goodness. 36 cotton balls, with Vaseline, rolled tight into green pea sized firetinder's, packed tight into the LockOut stash tin. Nitrile O ring, as well as the can threads, well lubricated with Silicone Grease. waterproof tinder storage, dive rated to 300'. Not that any of us will be doing stuff like that, but waterproof gear is a survival tool (note I said tool, not skill)
Heavily patina'ed brass , copper match / tinder boxes I used liquid miracle gro and salt , boiled hot. Dipped the containers in Acetone to remove all oils then Soaked the containers briefly in the oxidizing solution and hung to dry / interact with the oxygen in the air for 12 hours. Did that a number of times. Washed them , buffed the surface with silicone spray lube and a soft cloth. These will only get better with age the more they are handled (skin oils, sweat on hands, oxidation)
