Anyone else have an issue with the plastic sheath that comes with it? My wife is unable to draw the knife from the sheath.

My Goddaughter had a bit of trouble with her Izula when she was young. Some of it is in technique, instead of grabbing the handle and trying to just pull it straight out I taught her to take a drawing grip, but placing her thumb on the the front ledge of the sheath (where it naturally is if making a "thumbs up" gesture) and then while gripping the handle pressing down on that front ledge with her thumb. This tends to pop the knife from the sheath's retention easily and smoothly allowing for the draw.

    Cheers

My son did as well when he was 3. Thumb technique easily solved the issue.

I’m going to carry it for a few days and break it in for her. That’s one of the tightest sheaths I’ve ever experienced.

Look inside the plastic sheath an you will see two small round tits sticking up (stay focused) file or trim them a little…works perfect. I carry mine in a leather sheath, but still use the plastic one for neck carry while kayak Fishing

    Getting you guys trained right!!

This works...but take VERY little off that nub...you can always take more off....but you can't add it back. My suggestion is to USE it and it will break in and last a LONG time.
