Titanium cookware is next level hardcore! Yea it's thin , food sticks , but it's ultralight, bombproof, boils water rapidly.

I don't even bother washing out my ti cookware anymore, I just throw it on the campfire after using it. Burns off any food/ stuck food and sterilizes the pot for next time.

That MSR Titan Billy pot had stuck burnt rice on the bottom. Came outta the fire with nothing but fine white ash on it, which blew away in the wind. Clean, sterile.

EDIT: oops! Meant to post this in Knives, Guns, GEAR, etc

Our Exalted leader (mighty and omnipotent) JeffRandall said once of his dislike of Ti messware but I’ve been abusing my SnowPeak set for something in the range of 20 years. Open fires, resinous buildup, alcohol cleaning, blowtorch camp stoves, river sand as an abrasive.. it’s oddly colored and small but still making soup in the underbrush.

    Thank you.

Just watched one live on tv. Tore up a really pretty older downtown area. Old brick buildings, and hit some houses also.

Another tornado probably on the ground from the same storm.

Gonna be well south of us.

Another one moving west of us, dropping egg to baseball size hail.

The positive lightning strikes are pretty crazy also.
One hit this morning about a half mile from where I was and caught some apartments on fire.
I about crapped my pants. Flash and boom at almost the same time, super loud.

Looks like we are just going to get some heavy rain here in a bit, should escape the nasty stuff again.

I went to Tractor Supply Company yesterday and saw some cans of Bullfrog spf 50/insect repellent. I couldn't find any last year when I was looking for it. When we tried to check out, they wanted my date of birth. I told them if they can't see that I'm 40 years old to keep it. The funny part was the girl just standing there waiting for me to tell her a date, like I was kidding. I had to tell her 3 times before she realized I wasn't going to play their game.

Don’t really see a reason to be difficult.

It’s not her rule, poor girl is just doing what she is told.
Working retail is not glamorous by any means.

The cashiers follow the rules they are told or they get in trouble. When a difficult customer over reacts, the manager comes and immediately over rides the rule and does what they told the employee is told not to. Making the cashier look like the bad guy.

It’s a no win situation and I’m glad my wife was able to get away from it finally. Because she did it for a lot of years.

I was friendly with her. She told me she gets carded buying gas in Tallahassee.

If the customers never complain the policy will never change.

I just make up a bullshit number to ruin their data collection efforts. In my work bad data is worse than no data. Figuring it is for them too. TSC is an expanding company and overly aggressive about data collection from what I have seen. I usually find what they have at Wal-Mart or Lowes for a lower price.

If you're ever in a grocery store (Ingles and Safeway are bad) that wants some kind of club card discount nonsense, use the local or nearby area code and 555-1212. It almost always works. Even when buying gas, I have gotten some huge discounts using whatever area code and 555-1212. I've even registered a few cards under that number like the old TV shows used to use. Sweet talking the cashier into swiping their card isn't hard to do either if it all comes together. And gets their card points for future purchases while possibly saving you a buck or two. I always use the self checkout, if available, hard to sweet talk those.

You need to complain to corporate though. The cashier has no authority over policy and will rarely pass complaints on to managers because "the system" doesn't reward that kind of stuff and most managers are overworked and underpaid so they really don't care either.

Needs some TLC? Tell me more. I am considering getting a quad to scoot around the property. I am also feeling like a part time small engine mechanic keeping all the old crap I have accumulated running.
I could use a quad and a tow behind brush mower for my trails. I looks like a banner year for poison ivy in these parts.

Guy told me it needed rocker cover o-rings and a battery and maybe some brake work. Gotta get a battery in it and try to get it going.

I've bought and fixed up a few in the last year. They're not horribly hard to work on and I enjoy it if I have the time.
