Wanted to make this sheath with limited tools… awl, needles and the knife it would eventually hold cut the leather Before stain after
I think you’re inspiring me to go look at Hobby Lobby for leather and some basic tools to make WWII style flap holster for my Ruger MKII Govt. Being a southpaw I can never find a holster I like for that pistol, and for the places I tend to take it a cavalry flap type holster will probably do a great job of keeping debris out the pistol.
im correct handed as well that’s why I learned to make my own sheaths instead buying one for every knife I buy…ever
I tried to make a shoe. I modified a moccasin pattern and added a hard sole. I'm not sure what I am going to do with it yet. I decided I don't like my pattern, so I may scrap it. I just stitched the apron in to check the sizing and didn't get it centered, but I may just start over instead of fixing it. I call it a "Hey Sh!tty".
Thanks, that's mostly shoe scraps I bought from Springfield Leather. Here's a purse I started last night for my grandma.
Maybe it will upload this time, my service is terrible today. Nope try again.... looks like 8th time did it.
I cut out 3 sets of stirrup leathers tonight. I'm probably not going to get the fenders done tonight though.
