Here’s the link, 405 grain hard cast lead bullet @ 1852fps out of a 26” barrel. This was the original Chimera with a 3/16” hollow ground blade at ~61HRC. It’s been my edc/field knife until today, I have other pictures and videos using it on my Instagram page if anyone is interested in seeing them.

As much as I figured that would happen I was still cheering for the blade!

Thanks for posting that, always fun to watch experiments.

 

I assumed that was why no one had ever done it but I thought I’d try anyway. Next time I’ll just use the 45 colt.

I’ll get a couple more pictures tomorrow when I get a chance. Hopefully I’ll have my shop up and running soon. I mainly just need to get the wiring/electric run.

 

At least you can re-use the scales

 

I was rooting for the knife also but then the phrase "never being a knife to a gun fight" comes to mind lol.

 

Possibly, I use flex epoxy under the scales then flare the tubes. It might work if I heat what’s left of the blade though.

Those look great with a great blade shape. Handle shape looks good too. It looks like they will be very comfortable

 

Got the scales off and ready for the replacement blade!
