Not in my pocket, but the Buck 110 rides on my belt today and most days lately. I still can't make myself give big money for a folder when I can buy a fixed blade, but one particular Hogue has caught my eye recently.

Close. This one is the Case Kickstart Mid-Folding Hunter. I was looking at the Russlock but knew that the thumb lever would end up bothering me eventually, so went with the Hunter instead.

I wondered where the lever is :D

Does it also have a spring along with the liner lock, like the big Victorinoxes?

One of my favorite “beater” knives for work. Overbuilt enough to be sturdy and inexpensive without being “cheap” (and I won’t cry if it gets lost or broken).

These CRKTs are nice, I wish they had them in plain edge. I like serrations on a folder like this one, but the steel is too soft for the otherwise awesome Veff serrations. I had the tanto and enjoyed it.

Who makes the bolt-on wave? I have something similar on a Manix XL but it’s much bulkier.

    Yep, Sleipner steel.
Gets sharp easy and holds an edge well. Polishes up nicely on a strop.
    I like it alot.

It really does hold an edge. I had M5 and M7, awesome steel.

Oh, an M7, man, I have room for that beast in my knife drawer :D
How'd you compare it to an Esee 6 or Junglas 2?

    When I used a friend's 6, I sold the M7 and got my 6.
The M7, while of very good quality, is unwieldy and with a thick grind. It falls between the 6 and J2, but is nowhere near as good cutter as the 6 and doesn't chop nearly as well as the J2. Actually the handle was quite bad for chopping. The tang is narrow and uncoated, mine rusted under the micarta. Just not an efficient option for me.

M5 also had a somewhat thick grind, great handle though.
