Hi, new here. Mike from ESEE said there were people on this forum making holders for protecting the ESEE arrowheads... I am interested! Please let me know if they are for sale or anout ideas about making them. Thanks!
Hi Hi and welcome to the forum! The only things I've seen made for those are kydex. I'm not sure who in here makes or sell them but there are people who do outside the forum if you don't find them here. Good luck in your search!
Yes, welcome to the community. Besides the ESEE AH-1 arrowhead wallet that can be found and purchased just about anywhere (online knife stores/Amazon/etc.), the only other option I can recall hearing of is Kydex sheaths. I’m certain many many Kydex benders offer these for sale and I’m not trying to promote one over another, but I am most familiar with AZwelke and Godspeed tactical. Might want to peruse the “Local Craftsman & Custom Gear Makers” forum thread located near the top of this (For Sale / Trade) section.
I think he went out a couple years ago. But Atlus sheath designs also makes them. You can find him on Facebook
Azwelke gets my vote. He used to be on the old Esee forums. I have 2 of his kydex sheaths and love 'm
....given the issues at the end I am not sure he would be a great recommendation. My leatherworking mate made me a couple of ASH1 sheaths (it is a daunting task to be commissioned to clothe the greatest knife ever conceived .... ) and in one he incorporated a slot for an arrowhead in the back.
Best storage device for them is the after market handles for the laser strike it has a place for the inside.
I have Azwelke kydex for the AH1 that's great. I also have a set of G-10 Laser Strike scales sitting around here somewhere. The G-10 Laser Strike scales do have a really cool inset machined in for the AH1. The only issue I had with the scales; they are just a bit larger where the handle mates with the kydex sheath. The knife still fits securely with the G-10 scales, but on a new knife/sheath, it is very secure when compared to the stock micarta scales. That is without using the sliding Chicago screw+spacer to tighten the retention on the sheath. If you have a well worn Laser Strike sheath, I think they would be perfect. I will also say that the G-10 scales have a more comfortable, contoured handle profile than the micarta. Just not as grippy when wet; which is pretty standard between machined G-10 and micarta. :Edit: To be clear, this is referring to the TKC scales.
I have a kydex one in a box somewhere that I’ve never used. Pretty sure it fits inside an altoid tin. PM me your address if you want it.
