RB3-1707 by Kylemeister posted Sep 17, 2021 at 12:43 AM #1707 reporting for duty. I gotta say, the scales on this one are a home run. Better than my 3 with TKC scales.
Beautiful pictures! I read somewhere that Esee added a small secondary bevel to this blade later in production does anyone know if this is true? Just curious.
Thanks brother! Mine is definitely a true scandi grind, no secondary bevel. Dummy proof sharpening on a flat ceramic rod.
Well I’ve got one of these on the way! Out of curiosity since google seems to turn up NOTHING….. Has anyone here modified there RB3 scales (other then color) and why? I can seem to find pictures of modifications on I think every model of ESEE but the RB3…
I can only speak for myself, but it's the most comfortable ESEE to me, even above the HM handles (which I also love). The slight taper and broomstick profile are just plain awesome IMO. I could carve all day with it.
Trying not to over post the same pics. I just dumped a few others in the "cups and spoons" thread. I pruned a pear tree this morning and put the RB3 to work on some of the trimmings. These are a few close ups of the old scandi in action.
I love this knife. Kinda never wanted it but so glad I bought it in the end. It’s one of the best for sure
