This weekend I hiked in the Canaan Valley National Wildlife Refuge, WV.
Used my Junction pack and Waistpack worn crossbody.

First hike with the heavy recon. Definitely worth it. Barely noticed the Glock 21 and other items in the bag. 2166E5A3-4D56-4AD0-9034-A5538E71B2D9.jpeg 06F49B7A-CD0E-4431-9288-3C3430EC78C6.jpeg

Been looking at the Junction as a day pack to keep in my rig. Seems like it would be great for a pack rod, Nalgene bottle, and some ultralight spinning gear.

Can anyone recommend a molle compatible pouch for bear spray? I want to attach it to the bottom molle on my Heavy Recon kit bag. Looking for easy access and not turning up much so far.

If any of you Elk owners ever need stuff made, I know a guy who makes things. And he happens to have a roll of fabric.

Been kicking around the idea of replacing my Tara with Junction. Tara seems to be too small more often than not.
    Any thoughts a?

I've never had a Tarahumara, but at 16L it seemed too small for me, The Junction seemed a better fit at 22L. I have a frame sheet in the laptop pocket, plus a 2L water bladder. It has enough room for my stuff, plus extra if I need to add a light jacket or rain jacket. Or a larger jacket can be held on the outside with the paracord compression panel.
I also use the waistpack worn crossbody along with the Junction too.

Tripped the trigger on a Junction today after I saw that the Line Pocket could be added and the straps could offer some compression. I'm waiting on the Line Pocket until it's available in Ranger Green or Coyote.

    BrokenSVT, which packs are those?

just read in HPG forum about folks using the line pocket.

Is the a loop in the main pocket of the Junction for attaching a bladder or Tara insert?

I make all of those...and anything else people want made ;)

The loop is for whatever a person wants to hang. Bladders, inserts, keys, I make small pockets for that purpose too.

Just got the Line Pocket in for my Junction, along with a frame sheet. The frame sheet and a small orange tarp fit nicely in the laptop pocket and add a little welcome rigidity. I stuffed a Nalgene in to one bottle pocket and a pack rod tube in the other. The Line Pocket strap holds the rod tube nice and close to the pack.

Anyone have the Junction and Umlindi and think the Junction is a smaller Umlindi?

    No thoughts about this?

I’ve been considering pulling the trigger on a Junction. Why do I want a Junction when I already have the Umlindi?

Help me decide I need a Junction. Lol
