Yea I got 3 guys looking to buy it though. It’s all set up and makes nice groups out to 60yds so it kinda sells itself lol
Got this buck last Friday night. Used my 7 lakes long night longbow. And Ace standard broadheads. And cedar arrows
Mathews Vertix, Easton Axis 5mm match grade arrows, nocturnal nocks, and Rage Hypodermic NC’s did the job tonight.
This thread needs to be revived. I'm starting to get stands ready for this season. I'm getting the fever to get back in my deer stands. This is an 8 I harvested last season.
So I have always wanted to get into trad archery but I never had the time or money to get really set up... and then Friday happened, a chance stop at a tag sale led to probably one of the luckiest deals of my life... 5 bows total, 2 damon howatt hunters, a great plains rio bravo take down long bow, a 21st century nova long bow and a vintage browning cobra, dozens of finished wooden arrows, an entire tote of shafts and arrow making supplies/equipment and a whole assortment of leather quivers and accessories... all for barely a car payment... Not really sure where to start but pictures will follow as I sort through everything, took a few shots with the 50lb DH hunter yesterday, and what shooting I have done came back pretty quick so I am excited to keep practicing. I have to learn to make arrows so I can make a tuned set for myself.
Dude that’s sounds like a great deal for that many good bows and accessories. If you need any help shoot me a pm or something. Be glad to help if I can. Trad archery is so fun!! Would hate to see ya get discouraged learning the hard way. Lol. Good luck
Hunting with primitive bows is as much fun as you can have imo. Something about slipping around with that elegant weapon is so intriguing to me and rewarding to me.
@Cut it out I had been hoping to get this one with my bow this year. Neighbor got it with his bow the last day of archery season instead. It Ended up working out for me as he gave me the deer for the meat. Ended up with over 75 pounds of meat in the freezer from this guy! AND the antlers should make some awesome Bushcraft/ Flint Knapping tools!
