Two new multi-cable Lifeline fitness handles and 100 lb cables. Now I can do my Romanian deadlifts properly. - and - 10 lb Husky sledgehammer for forearm exercises (just shortened the handle). My condo unit is now a fully equipped gym. I have no intention of growing old gracefully!
And, here they are in use. Temperature around 21F. Giving a couple of foil lessons, in a driveway, under the lights.
Finally! A 4 that will stay forever. This is my 3rd one, the regular handle is just too small for me. The HM is perfect. The sheath is great too - it holds the knife very securly, unlike the one that came with the 3HM, which had basically no retention at all. And my buddy's 6 with 3D scales, man are they comfortable! Much better than the regular flat ones. As soon as the scales become available separately, I'm definitely going to upgrade my 6 with a pair.
Aw yeah, it's that time again! Lol. Couldn't pass up the tools for that price. Just the bits are worth it.
Got my Skrama in the mail today. Wow, it’s a beast! Took it into the woods to test it out and had no problems with limbing, chopping and batoning. The neat little secondary grind is perfectly capable of making feather sticks. Need some warmer weather so I can stay out longer to play around with this thing!
"PSKOOK Survival Paracord Parachute Fire Cord Survival Ropes Bushcraft Red Tinder Cord PE Fishing Line Cotton Thread 7+3 Strands 25, 100 Feet" 9.99 isn't too bad I don't think. I was hoping the red was more of a burgandy to match the knife better but eh. It'll work.
Got my Singer 44S sewing machine today! Plus a bunch of accessories. Never used a sewing machine in my life till tonight, but have done tons of hand sewing. Made this little guy as a first project.
I finally replaced my trusty $27 Timex Ironman with a Coros Apex. Just enough features to be useful and the battery life is great. I also picked up a Spyderco Endela K390 because I'm spending more time in states where fixed blade carry is illegal. Wanted something bigger than my Delicas, I gave away my last Endura early last year and I generally have zero interest in anything else on the market at the moment. In November I bought a few acres near Huntsville but given the current market I'll be flipping it pretty soon for three times what I gave for it.
I got a new pair of Mechanix originals as I tend to go through a pair per year - riding mtb and carrying / splitting wood for the winter. Both my previous pairs got a hole on the index finger, which with time made them unusable. Still a pair per year is nothing compared to the comfort and protection they provide. For me they are top quality gear, providing hundreds of hours of good use at a reasonable price. For the summer I might try the fingerless option for riding.
Y'all are gonna get me in trouble if I start buying MORE pans.... The wife already gives me grief over the number of cast iron pans I have.
You're welcome. I have that exact deep well pan in my Amazon cart and that Lodge DO in that exact color in my cabinet!
Still trying to decide if this was a good idea or not.... How I brought it home Sunday. How it sits right now....
