I have two Gransfors axes, an American felling axe and a Large splitting maul. Both are in excellent shape. These will offer substantial exercise. I could not figure out EBay so I am putting them on here. Both are 140$ shipped.
Let me clarify! Despite my evening beverages I lack the benevolence to sell both at this price. The price is for each one separately. Sorry for the confusion. BTW, One should have thier ducks lined up physically to use these tools. Let me rephrase they are beasts and will drain you of your stamina. The Maul weighs 7 lbs. unless you are pretty fit you should pass on these. Get a chainsaw or buy a splitter. Having given due warning , they are tremendous exercise.
Be a man, @Zeek . I'm closing on 60 and use an 8 pound maul. I wish I had the spare ching for it right now. But Christmas, grandkids, yada, yada...
Wait a minute...I sailed past sixty in the not too distant past. I firmly believe, as an old person we should exercise like our life depends on it. Because it does. If have a wood stove, the time and the wood, it is a great full body workout. I don’t have those things.
I just imagine that long, tapered head with that weight being driven by a little speed, would outrun a hydraulic splitter in experienced hands.
Someone should snap that up. I'm actually into Axes as much as ESEE's, and that American Felling axe is a beauty.
There was some confusion and I put up some pics of the axe, which is older and has been used. The edge is in perfect condition but the blade is more stained. Those interested, please check the pics.
