Took my HPG Junction pack on a hike today, along with my Waist Pack as a sling bag.
I had a 2L water bladder in it, felt comfortable, no issues. Not sure I like it more than my Mystery Ranch pack. But it's good for a small day pack.

I think it is an exclusive for us, so far. It looks like HPG is doing an orange SAR bag too, but theirs has Coyote trim instead of black. And I think we can all agree that blaze orange and coyote brown are a major fashion faux pas. You'd get laughed right out of the woods with that combination.

Olight Perun Mini is a great light for this kit. Turning out to be a great hands free option for creeping into a morning hunting blind. 20201027_154707.jpg

Bought one on the recent sale. Worth every penny. Used it on a campout a couple weeks ago, and recently while repairing lights in the cellar. Cellars can be as dark as a blasted cave, you know. But I really like the velcro patch for the mount.

Something of a necro post here, but I was just playing with an old Digi/UCP/ACU/Couch camo pattern Waist Pack for use as a top lid on my incoming Foliage/Stone Umlindi. I've had the waist pack forever, got it unissued years ago and never found a use for it. I believe this thing will be perfect for holding those larger gotta-have-it-now items like the poncho and fleece hat/neck gaiter.

The waist pack does make for a decent top lid on the Umlindi. I'm not married to it by any means, but it's a pretty versatile bag(the waist pack, that is) and more-or-less bombproof.

Right now it contains a Helikon Tex USGI poncho, fleece hat and neck gaiter, extra wool socks, some insulated Mechanix gloves, a Mora and Bahco Laplander; all within easy reach. There's plenty of space for more goodies depending on the trip.

I'm just glad to finally find a use for this old thing...it's been in the gear box for ages, unused. I may have to try my hand at some dark green Rit dye on it... I'm far more fond of dyed UCP pattern. Other UCP pouches of mine took dye fairly well.

I’ve been looking for a V2 but not much luck. Might have to put out a WTB on some pages.

Yep. Great light jacket. I use it over a puffy jacket or fleece for cutting the wind in colder weather.

I remember you asking about these way back in this thread, or somewhere.
I just checked and none available in my size.

How do they run size wise?

They are sized appropriately i guess. I wear a large and the large fit me perfect with room for layering. So maybe they run a bit big? Maybe first spear has dimensions for the sizes? Pretty sure hpg doesnt. I agonized over what size to order but figured i could alway return it.
