I saw that on FB. That's some scary stuff. I can't do those shelf roads like that with no trees.

That road has claimed a lot of destruction in the last few years. I think the popularity and accessibility make it an "easy" destination and people get in over their heads. If I'm not mistaken there was a death in a UTV up there last year.

Is it too soon to buy them one of those "If you can read this, roll me back over" stickers?

I saw where one had attempted the same acrobatics above Citico Creek (TN) on the high loop not long ago. It was stopped by a couple of small pines and was being recovered when I came by.
Fortunately injuries were not serious and the guys getting it back upright and on the road were very good.

Story I was told was that some folks had flown in to Knoxville, rented a Jeep off Turo and went exploring.

Everything I've seen has indicated that a passenger, in her early 20s, was ejected and sustained serious injuries. I've not read anything about the driver or what specifically caused the accident.

EDIT: Per the link below it seems as though the driver had gotten out and the Jeep was parked. Must have been too close to the edge.

Yeah, I saw somewhere that it was parked and started sliding. I don't know if a ledge broke away or it rolled back or what.
