A Darian Ma-chete and a Gibson Axe may just have to be the next sharp steel I buy !!!! That said I should probably get an S35v 3 just to annoy Jeff.
I haven't checked out the Darian yet but it looks slick. The Gibson Axe has made me a better carver because the edge is thin. It's also got plenty of weight to do regular hatchet stuff. I sold my Gransfor Bruks Wildlife hatchet after I got the Gibson. I've been tempted by the fixed Zancudo.
Thanks.... My process was: 1. lightly sand and brush the scales a bit to roughen up the polish finish 2. Heat up Black Rit Dye and soak scales for an hour or so 3. Accidentally knock over Pot of Black Rit Dye and stain my work bench, wall, and concrete. For best results try to skip step 3.
Haha!! Excellent. Yes, RIT is awesome for dyeing scales. I used the dark brown color on my stock ESEE 6 scales as you can see in my avatar. Thanks for the response.
Yes, awesome. Exactly the knife I was looking for. Did all the things I need and ,to my surprise , also fine carving stuff. I am really impressed. And it's a fantastic bow knife. It's very easy to pull arrows out of a tree.
Nice choice! Hahaha I’ve also had to use my 5 for digging field tips out a tree after my arrow went through the target.
Yeah more often than not unless it’s a fairly new target. I’m still shooting a Hoyt Tenacity I bought new in 1997. I have the 80# limbs and with a 490gr arrow I’m getting around 110ft-lbs of kinetic energy and average 312fps. I’ve shot a few complete pass throughs length-wise on whitetail at 25 and 30 yards.
Good morning, could you please tell what the name is of the tool across the chicken. Its great looking and would like to add it to my camp set. Thanks
