Trust me, he was a mixed bag. On one hand he truly did love animals with a passion few could come close to, and he did a lot for wildlife in general. On the other hand his handling methods and the risks he took couldn't be ignored. It truly was only a matter of time. And frankly his actions are what caused his demise. Pulling the barb from his heart sealed the deal. Literally the same week he died a man in the Tampa Bay area, where I'm from, had the exact same thing happen to him. He left the barb in and was rushed to the hospital and made a full recovery.
I took this the other day at Lowe's. Staff and other customers almost wet themselves laughing. My good half wasn't amused.
