    Hey all,

I have a need for an ESEE 4 for wandering around the woods and spending some time making fires and whittling.

I had one in my cart with an original g10 handle which I still like, but I took so long that ESEE has all new 3D handles available now.

    Original g10 vs new 3D g10?

    What do you think?

My opinion is 3D scales is the way to go. They are a tad bit slicker than the micarta but they fill the hand much nicer resulting in a firm grip... Just my two cents.

    Great feedback, thanks.

Part of me feels like I’ll miss out on the “original” experience of the handle as nature intended, but part of me really wants the latest and greatest...... and FDE blade with black g10 handle.

I haven’t had the chance to handle any of the 3 D ones, but having used both the originals and the HM series, I can imagine the 3D handles will be about the perfect balance of the two.

Wow, that looks great. That’s a micarta handle, right?

Funny timing. I just ordered mine today!

Thanks again, guys!! This thing feels awesome. The handle is actually shorter than I expected despite seeing so many pics and vids of it. It still feels great because of the ergonomics. Between the full tang and g10 it is pleasantly hefty. Man, it feels good. Can’t wait to get out and put it to work!
