So we are all pretty like minded here. My wife asked again about moving somewhere different. We are both born and raised 20 from our current house. So needless to say this is what we know. I have traveled a lot she has not. As of right now me giving up what I have for a business and how life is going I find moving not in the cards. But each year I seem to be entertaining the idea more and more. I would love to live somewhere different but leaving my close family isn’t easy. But in a few years I know my work situation will change and that will give me the opportunity to make a change in my life if we wanted too. I find myself more and more saying life is short make the best of it.

So I guess I’m looking to see what everyone’s thoughts are where do you like. Maybe where you are now or somewhere different. Give the pros and cons. Maybe it’s just your dream place. All options are open. From N to S and W to E

Whatever. I was in Festus, we just bought a house in Bonne Terre. It's ok, but no Perdido Key.

I was in Fenton for years... moved back to Cape. I don’t miss STL at all.

Still 35 years out but we hope to get a condo in Arizona when we retire. Don't think I would want to live there year round though...

Utah, Colorado, eastern Tennessee in that order for me. I hate NJ so much but I can’t make the money I make here anywhere else doing what I do.

Yeah I don’t think Florida is on my list. Colorado I definitely want to check out. Tennessee is like to take a look at. NJ yeah I’d want to get out of there!!
Carolinas are an option also for me.

I like it in northeastern Oklahoma.
Just need to get out away from the big city a little further.

TN. Multiple terrain options, easy to identify neighbors by the rifle in the window of the farm truck, and quick access to vehicle parts just by rummaging around in the yard.

If you drew a big enough circle to encompass E. TN, W. NC, NW SC and NE GA, that would be my preferred area.

Although more and more, I want to be far away from everyone so like middle of Wyoming, or North Dakota or something like that is probably more ideal. Wherever I could get a 500 acre property along a river would suit me just fine.

Yes I love the thoughts of Montana and Idaho having no one around is what I love. I’m on 30 acres right now and that feels like nothing out on the quad.

@JV3 I here you on the NH and VT for me if I could find something in the middle of no where one the South parts that would be great because then I could still work in MA there my licensing is. I’m based out of greenfield now but can transfer to any part of MA

Being I just moved back to Michigan I don't think I'd ever move again, because of family. But Tennessee wouldn't be too bad since I have family there also from both sides. I would have to go with the Eastern part though, near erwin.

That's where the wife and I want to retire to, Vermont. New Hampshire or Maine would be okay too.

I currently reside in Southern Ohio. I have traveled & lives a couple other places & states but never for very long before I found myself right back where I started. Literally the house I live in now is across the street from the house I was from new born to 4yrs & down the hill from where I was till I was 18.
That being said I have said all along that the only other place I would consider living is Tennesse
