What's your scotch of the evening? I've recently started mybdive head first into the world of scotch. Been enjoying some Ardbeg 10yr here lately!
Four Roses regular is pretty good for a 20$ bottle. Small batch is really good....very smooth...I get lots of caramel notes. Single barrel is excellent....but not 20$ better than small batch (in my opinion) I don't think you'd be disappointed. I keep a bottle of cheap stuff around for drinks here and there....small batch and single barrel come along for special occasions!
Small batch conjures thoughts of trading stories about the sounds of the wind over the wings of the fall migration and the sounds of the migrating snows....
Another hit from Southern Tier. This one comes in a 10%. I'm with Volgrad on Pumking also. Both very tasty.
I was drinking open bar at a local charity event, dressed as a mobster running wild at the craps table!
Sorry for you non-Louisiana folks. I tried it for the first time yesterday and it's firmly my favorite Abita beer.
I like it but it's pretty hot at 120 proof. I've been pouring it over a couple of ice cubes to let it mellow. Flavors are great though.
Yeah I'd say that's pretty hot! I don't mind an ice cube tho....most of the time I'll use one or two to cool it a bit of nothing else.
I love winter beer! Fridge is totally full of a 4-6 pack of each of these. And they understand alcohol in the winter keeps you warm. ABV ranges from 7-12%
