I’ll be joining the workforce soon. Self quarantine for two weeks because of someone I work with. Soon enough it’s back to buying and selling local ag products. Gotta get people their food.

I think we are going to take the bike for a social distancing trip to the coast today. We may not even stop except for gas, I just enjoy riding along the coast. There's normally not too many people where we go anyway.

Catching up on some book reading. Trying to avoid the news and tv. Just too much doom and gloom. So far I’ve read; As a man Thinketh and Spartan Discipline again. I’m in and out on the books; The old man and the Sea and The Warrior Ethos. I’m going to go back through Jockos books and probably read Jack Hinsons war. Looks like I’ll have plenty of time on my hands.

He is a cross between a Labrador and a Great Dane and seems to be pretty large for that cross.
He is scared of everything and puts up a terrible fuss when someone comes to the door. Everyone is terrified of him because in a dark house you see large teeth above waist level and his bark reminds me of a Harrier jet hovering overhead.
I did purchase two cases of wine prior and have been working on my pan sauce with chicken, picatta, Francis, Marsala is next. I am using a carbon steel pan made in Australia. I am also making sushi and the accompanying decorations this is an apple. 7396C74D-626F-4E8C-B2A7-9CBFB81F0EF8.jpeg

    You’re an interesting cat.

Sort of a renaissance hobbit. But in XL.

We made it to the coast and back, I guess FL thinks they can kill the corona virus with fire. We got halfway through Tates Hell and they had burned everything. Smoke was thick, luckily the truck in front of me pulled over and let me by, I ducked my head and rolled on through about 85 the rest of the way.

I forgot to mention that I didn't see any of those checkpoints they've been talking about. So if anyone needs to be smuggled in to Florida I can hook you up.

The beaches were closed but there was empty boat trailers everywhere. There was a ton of people on the water.

I am a fan of endgrain boards. I think edges last longer with them.

So I needed something else to do to stay In shape. We hike a lot and I run but I’m use to doing 2 hour of Krav and kickboxing every other night. Well I don’t have that now and it doesn’t seem like we will be able to go back to the gym any time soon. So I need something lease to do. I ordered a bike today and it should be in Wednesday and put together hoping to have it Thursday or Friday. I have always wanted to MTN bike haven’t done it forever. So I guess now is the time. I’ll post some pictures when I pick up the bike!

You really can't blame the folks that come up with those numbers. Our region has some specific challenges when trying to count people. Other places "cousin uncle daddy" or "sister aunt grandma" refer to multiple people. That isn't always the case here.
We just picked up new bikes in January and I've substituted riding for long distance trail runs (to help avoid injury) and rowing (the gym is closed). This last month I've been trying to keep it to mostly non technical trails and am just doing a lot of forest service roads and such. I figure now is not the time to need to hit an ER for a broken arm or collarbone.

    For TV shows:
Shameless on HBO is excellent. Many seasons available.
Ozark on Netflix, currently on season 3. Also excellent.
Homeland on Showtime also very good.

For me it’s work as usually but my wife is now working from home. She’s not digging it.

Time is also spent shooting, exploring the desert, binge watching shows, buying knives, and sipping Crown.
