In lieu of what is going on in the World. If you had to choose only one "end all, do all" knife for an end of society situation. What knife and why?

Mine would be the Laser strike (esee 5 or cm6 for close second). LS might be my favorite knife ever owned. It is very comfortable and a great combination of size/weight for heavy duty work. Has the choil for fine work.

    The 6
Big enough, perfect balance, good handle and sheath and cuts great. Everything that this knife can not handle is in axe territory.

Hmmm ... I'd be fine with any quality full tang fixed blade between 3"- 6" long with 1/8" to 3/16" thickness. ESEE 3 or 4, Ratmandu, anything comparable (but I have experience with those).

Right now I'd probably pick the one I made, just because. 4.5" blade 5/32" thick A-2.

I have the TKC scales on my laser strike! They helped make it my favorite

The tkc scales are very nice. I'm just not a fan of g10. I'm really keeping my fingers crossed that the fellas at Esee will add the laser strike to their list of knives to get updated, contoured micarta scales.

So did the one you engraved for my son years ago finally eat at you enough to get one?

If ESEE then 6HM or L/S, the Fiddleback old model Hunter is right there along with Siegle's Raw Pork knife. A couple of Becker's come to mind.

Right now If I had to absolutely pick one end of the world as we know it knife, I guess it would have to be the 240mm Skrama tool.
But I'd sure miss my Fiddleback BushFinger.

I'm partial to this custom lately. Commissioned it as my "one knife".

I honestly feel like I came back into an alternate universe here after a few months hiatus. When I joined the old jungletraining forum there was maybe 5 of us that the laserstrike was our favorite Esee. It’s good to see it’s popularity has increased. It really is a do-all knife that punches way outside it’s weight class.
