Hey one mans sip is another mans gulp... just saying Just signed up! I might be new here but I wasn’t born last night. My halo is held up by horns and I know how to live! Lol
Thank you very much. Been awhile since I’ve been on a forum let’s hope this ones better than the last.
Great lighter....do yourself a favor and READ THE INSTRUCTIONS on how to fill it!!! Ask @Patrick Rollins !!
Anyone replace the wick on theirs? I wanna pick one up but I have read that Zippo wicks are too short and that Exotac eventually plans on offering a replacement. Years ago Zippo offered rolls of their wire-infused wicks for a lantern but I can't find those either.
Looks like a winner. Right now, I just keep a few Bics, as well as my ESEE fire starter, and sealed matches.
I picked up one of these recently. Its a solid piece of kit. I know that a BIC will do essentially the same thing, but I really like to have durable reusable items instead of disposable ones.
Does anyone know a plasma lighter? After my personal attempts, I found them very suitable as survival lighters. First, they are battery powered and do not have to worry about evaporation or leakage. And the battery can usually be used for more than one month. Second, they rely on coils to ignite without flames. Even in windy weather, they can still ignite objects. Finally, they are very easy to use, you just need to open it like a regular lighter, just one click. Although its price is many times higher than what I paid for other lighters, the new plasma coil lighter is still worth it.
Nice. I carry a Titan Light. Since it's sealed with o-rings I don't worry. Just put a dab of grease on them every now and then. 99% of my excursions and camping are over water. Knock on wood, I've never flipped my kayak but I've seen it happen plenty.
