TTT for the king of ESEEs.

I was digging through old pictures on my computer and ran across a screenshot of a picture that used to be on the ESEE website that is the one that convinced me to buy a 5 for my second ESEE. Don't know what it was that spoke to me, but the 5 is a great knife.

Sorry for the late reply, just saw this. I’ve got midnight tiger TKC scales, by far my favorite color especially with a stripped and patina’d blade.

Also filed in a choil today at the same time I added the one to my Junglas. This knife went from being more of a novelty purchase in 2015 to becoming my favorite midsize fixed blade. It’s done tons of fire prep, fatwood harvesting, along with deer and squirrel cleaning. I slowly gained an appreciation from @Se7eN and @Bushman5 for thick knives!

I can definitely believe that! I’m still kick’n myself that I didn’t get midnight tiger Laserstrike TKC scales over the black with orange liner ones I bought. I keep thinking about posting them for trade for midnight tiger or sell them to get a set.

Thanks! It gets bashed through quite a bit of different vegetation at work and in the woods on my free time so it’s built up a cool patina. I also still tend to dunk it in white vinegar every so often.

    Well said!

I went quite some time where my 5 was more of a novelty I hardly used and I almost sold it when I parted ways with my 6-cp and 3’s. Glad I didn’t, I think I just had too many knives and was distracted from giving the 5 it’s due chance in the woods and swamps. It’s such a capable all around blade, especially after thinning the edge a bit and convexing it. I think adding the choil to mine will also help with doing “small knife” stuff.
