https://www.themountaineer.com/news...cle_cb7e18d2-b3b3-11e9-b2ab-d3325fe4a0ef.html Amazing! Jeff et all do yall have anything to add?
Our team spent 3 days on the ground in some very hard terrain. Right now we are just trying to decompress and rest up. I do have some photos I can share of our missions when I have time to get them downloaded. And as I have already posted, it was a true honor for our team to work alongside many other professional agencies, ultimately leading to a very successful outcome. Can't thank all the volunteers and agencies enough for their dedication, professionalism and hard work. This is what search and rescue is all about. An amazing outcome for the Lynch family, as well as all of us rescue personnel. Outcomes like this make every minute of hard missions worth it.
We were just one of many teams out there running missions. In the end, it was every team out there that made this an amazing outcome for the Lynch family and everyone involved. North Carolina has some of the best search and rescue teams in the world as far as I'm concerned.
Great job to Rat SAR and all other parties involved, it’s always good to read one of the stories with a happy outcome.
This is a pretty good article on what all happened: https://www.citizen-times.com/story...sing-man-kevin-lynch-enters-day-5/1868042001/
great stuff RAT-SAR! @Jeff Randall , any chance of doing a future Canada trip and joining up with North Shore SAR or Coquitlam/Maple Ridge SAR or Port Alberni SAR for some fun? I think our mountains would blow your mind.
As Jeff said....I can't stress how humbling being on this search was. RAT SAR was very fortunate to have worked with some truly outstanding volunteers and professionals. I'm still mulling this whole experience over in my head and it becomes more overwhelming as more time passes. I could not be more proud of our RAT SAR team members and how we conducted our business during the entire operation. The storybook ending makes it all the more special.
This is really, really cool. Great job RAT-SAR! Hard work, training and more hard work and training really does pay off.
